Welcome Dr. Kraft!

Mia Bella Pediatrics has some exciting news! We have a new pediatrician joining our team.

Dr. Colleen Kraft will be assisting with same day sick visits in the afternoon hours, and she joins us just in time for the busy cold and flu season. Her addition will allow our schedule to remain open and available for important Well Child Care with your primary pediatrician, while also accommodating the influx of sick patients in the winter months.

She comes to Mia Bella Pediatrics with substantial expertise and special interests in early childhood development and population health, which will serve to enhance the emphasis of inclusive, family-centered care that is our premise at Mia Bella Pediatrics. In fact, her expertise has garnered her the job as the next American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) President, and she will concurrently assume her position as President of the AAP on January 1, 2018, while joining the Mia Bella team in offering second-to-none care.

Her experience spans over 28+ years, from 14 years in private practice, including 4 years as the managing partner, to the Founding Pediatric Program Director at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.  In addition, she was the Medical Director for a Medicaid managed care organization in Virginia, and most recently led a Pediatric Accountable Care Organization at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital as the Medical Director.  She received her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech, her M.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University, and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University.

She recently relocated to Southern California as she assumes the AAP Presidency position for 2018 and is excited to concurrently assist in caring for our Mia Bella patients.
